WorkshopsMy environmental workshops are intended to give people a chance to explore their own understanding and interest in environmental issues. The workshops are upbeat and positive. They focus on what people want to do and are interested in doing. Participants will not be inundated with overwhelming environmental facts or predictions of environmental doom.I currently have two workshops available:
Real Green Living: Living Sustainably, Living WellThis workshop is aimed at anyone who gets stressed out or feels concerned when they hear or read about environmental problems. Often when this happens, we are left with a feeling of 'environmental guilt', but we don't know what steps to take to feel empowered and positive. This workshop will be pro-active and positive. Participants will engage in a series of activities designed to determine which parts of the environment are most important to them and, based on this, the sort of environmental actions that they will find most meaningful. Workshop participants will then develop ideas about how their environmental interests can be practically fit into their everyday lives. Determining your environmental footprintThis is a more detailed workshop that will teach people how to determine their environmental impact using the concept of 'environmental footprinting". This is a good way to understand and precisely describe how a particular lifestyle or lifestyle change can effect your environment. If you've ever wondered whether it was more environmentally beneficial to use cloth bags or turn out the lights when you leave your house, this is the workshop for you!
