House Tidying
More on house tidying. I have been thinking about my house cleaning (and
house messing!) behaviours. To analyze them (a la Spock), I created this questionnaire:
House Tidying Questionnaire
Write the percentage of time each of the following happens (The
percentages should add up to 100):
If something in the house is out of place (i.e. not clean and/or not
living in the place it usually lives)
- I don’t notice it ____
- I notice it and tidy it up ____
- I notice it and decide that I will tidy it later ____ (because, for
example, I don’t have time now, I have other responsibilities now, I don’t
want to do it now, I would rather be doing something else now)
- I notice it but leave it for someone else to tidy ____ (because, for
example, they made the mess, it is their job, they have more time to tidy,
they like tidying, I don’t want to do it and they’ll do it eventually)
- I notice it and do nothing ____ (because, for example, I soon forget
about it, I feel frustrated and put it out of my mind, I don’t know what
to do, I don’t care)
- I notice it and ask someone else to tidy it. ____
- Other ____ Please describe:
