After six years of dental avoidance, I have gone to the dentist. The trip was a success. My teeth and gums are fine, except for two small cavities between two of my back molars. I feel that after six years, this is to be expected.
With that said, I am embarking on my new campaign of personal dental education. No more avoidant behaviour for me. The two small cavities are what are know as ‘proximal caries’, which is to say that they are between the teeth, rather than on top of them. In this case, they are touching each other, almost like one cavity, shared between two molars. So I want to know what techniques are used to deal with proximal caries.
