I am interested in the concept of consideration, because I think it is one
of the easiest aspects of behaviour to have a hard time with. When people
are inconsiderate, it is not the case that they deliberately wish another
person ill. Rather, it is that they fail to realize that they are doing or
not doing something that, as a result, inconveniences another person. They
simply and honestly fail to think about that person. This aspect of
inconsiderate behaviour, that it is an error of omission, makes it very
challenging to avoid. Consequently, in my own journey towards becoming a
considerate person, I am considering buying
Choosing Civility: The Twenty-five Rules of Considerate Conduct. If I
do buy it, it will be my first foray into the world of e-books. Exciting!
