It occured to me, as I was reading about introversion, that it could
easily be confused for social anxiety. However, as
this article
points out, introverts, while having likes or dislikes about aspects of
socializing, do not necessarily feel anxious about socializing.
Introversion/Extroversion is a personality trait, whereas Social Anxiety
is a mental disorder. Thus, somewhat surprisingly to me, you can have
someone who is both highly extroverted and suffers from social anxiety.
Now that would be a challenge indeed.
