It isn’t uncommon for me to be trying to find something out about some aspects of cooking and suddenly come upon a slew of links to SCA sites. It’s inevitable- I’m irresistibly drawn to medieval European and Middle Eastern cooking, and SCA people know a heck of a lot about that topic. (As an aside, I think there should be a single word that covers ‘medieval european and middle east’ because during that time, that whole area was so very interestingly connected in so many ways- commercial, religious, etc. There probably already is, and if you know it, I encourage you to let me in on it).
All this to say that my current culinary interest is sourdough starter,
